I never have a cookie problem when using my computer at work. But most of the time on the home computer, Athena doesn't know who I am when I access the forums. After giving my name and password, it seems to remember for the duration of that session and sometimes even longer. I have tried several times removing the cookies and resetting but it just doesn't seem to help. The home computer is running Windows 95 with IE 5.something (I think 5.5). Is there something wrong with the computer or me or does it just work this way? Not a critical problem as I can get around it but it is a nuisance. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Pete |

Sound like you have persistent cookies disabled, Pete. There's a short article in the Member's Menu/Troubleshooting Guide about crumbled cookies, but here's the pertinent passage for you. quote: |

Ron, your suggestion sounded really good but both types of cookies were already set to enable. I still seem to have the problem. Any other ideas? Pete |
