Was posting a prose piece and tried to preview to check for any formatting errors and got the following message:

Request-URI Too Large
The requested URL's length exceeds the capacity limit for this server.

request failed: URI too long

LOL. Your entire post has to be passed as a parameter in the URL, Ali, so it's actually a little surprising we haven't seen this before in the Prose forum. I'm afraid the way Preview is implemented in our current system it simply won't work with long-short stories.

Guess I'll chalk that up to a 'doh' moment then, as I've never seen that message before even with longer poetry pieces. It would show a section, but not the entire piece which was why I was a bit surprised by that 414 error.

I never got that message before either ... thank goodness~

However, it can be a bit frustrating when doing a REVIEW, to have the poem show only in segments~
But ... patient little soul that I am ...
I've learned to work around it~

I don't want to get hit with error messages ... so I'll just keep my longwinded stuff on hold~

Well, Preview also doesn't work well if you use certain punctuation,
such as : or ;
It cuts off the Preview at that point.
At least, it does it to me every single time,
so when I preview, I eliminate those, then add them back into the write if everything else suits my fancy.

Doesn't work with ~*~ either...so I do all of my spell checking and such in Word prior to cutting and pasting and have fairly given up on formatting other than centering because it drives me bonkers!
