This is more of a personal question than a "bug" but I figured if I posted here, someone who is smarter than the software could answer

I used to be known around here as StarPryncess17...but I got sick of it and wanted a new name so I re-joined. I didn't think about the fact that my new alias

would not show my number of postings and all of my old stuff under the new name...is there a way to do this or am I just an idiot for doing what I did?!?! HELP!

Each new membership enrollment stands on its own, accumulating posts individually. Since you have only one post as this new personna, you can surely continue with your first UserName.

Other than that - Ron will "occasionally" make a name change sweep, where you could request that he make the alterations of your choice on your name - I doubt that a sweep is on the software plate in the near future, but your request could be included when he does the next one...
