He starts to take her back to her seat, then pauses. Looking down at her he asks"Would you care to join me?" She cast a sidelong glance at him, taking in his honeyed eyes, his sweet smile. "I'd like that." He leads her to a corner table, dark with just the candles glow to illuminate his face. They sit in silence for a moment, looking into each others eyes. He smiles and touches her cheek. " You said you were headed back to school? Where are you going?" "South Dakota." Questions, answers, small talk followed as they played the mating game. Music and bar talk flowed all around them, unnoticed. "Lets get out of here," he says. "Oh yes," she murmurs. Her next great surprise came as they stepped into the parking lot. "A bike? You have a bike?" He grins as he hands her a helmet. " Sure what else?" She looks down at her skirt and heels, then back up into his laughing eyes. " Sure, why not?" She straddles the bike, skirt riding high on velvet thigh, pressed close to his body. her hands steal round him, one teasing his flat belly, the other feeling the race of his heart. With a grin, he puts the bike in motion. Up onto the highway, the moon and stars glowing. They race through the night shadows, the bike a warmth between their thighs. An hour, then two, til he pulls off the highway and slows to a stop. He turns his head to speak to her. " I know a place near here, a special place. " "Take me," she says. Gears click, the engine moans, and once again he takes them flying. [This message has been edited by Paula Finn (edited 08-21-2000).] |
