The hurt you spread is like disease. The lies you speak cut us down, we lose our spirit and are condemned. How? Why? Forget it, the words you could or would say can't mend the trust you have broken. Even if you have been reformed the s*it you told them will forever remain with me... with us. I cared for you, I was your friend. I was blind to the secrets held in your eyes as you politely lied to me and cursed my name. I know I was naive, sometimes I was weak, still am. I'm not perfect and I never expected you to be either. I wanted truth. I still do. I guess I expected too much. Sometimes life is ruined by one thing and it causes a domino effect, like a dress that has a tear and catches on some wire. You began the tear and when rumors spread that was my wire. I think you're sorry for my pain, for all of the lies. But it's too late, the wound is deep and I'm always sore. The memory of you will forever remain, I'm sorry to say it's permanently tarnished and scarred. The little fun we had, the time we've shared torn and shredded; pieces shattered, for which there is no glue. No sweet, syrupy rubber cement can fix me. Why so much hate? Where did the love and friendship go? I guess I'm disposable to you... and that will never change. Written a while ago during a period of great turmoil... don't worry, I'm not going to do anything rash...  |

I know you won't be rash, this bit of prose shows you to be a very intelligent young lady.  Congrats on this and I am sorry you got hurt like that. We can put up with a lot though, can't we?But it is the lies that really hurt us the most. Very good writing here. Keep up the good work Gossamerwings ;) |
