One of the guys in my math class was especially pretty this day. Math was of its usual caliber. Glimpse She glanced at his pretty profile, noting his wiry brown hair, his light tan, and the nervous jiggling of his feet. Boredom, she thought. His feet moved with a life of their own. Maybe they wanted to be outside, playing in the grass, or soaking in the cool water of the fountain. Above the feet, she saw the golden tan, the furred leg, his impeccable yet casual dress, khaki shorts and a blue and yellow plaid shirt, a tan Abercrombie and Fitch cap. Definite boredom. What was going on in his head? Behind that beautiful face, the clean points of his nose and chin, the wispy brown eyelashes, full, dark pink lips. As he watched the bumbling math professor, she saw the delicious curves of his forehead and cheekbone, tipped with the shyest pink kisses from his lover sun. His feet tapped out seconds, then half-seconds, counting down the agonizing minutes of his self-imposed entrapment. As he held his head, she imagined he could feel the warriors Boredom in his brain, vanquishing and destroying his precious gray matter. Enough, he thinks, and picks up his blue backpack and walks out. She turns back to her book. Never regret |

This I have seen before, and done before too. What a wonderful picture of not paying attention in class. LOL! ![]() Don't gain my affections and cover my eyes. In blindness I will only swing harder. |

Welcome to Passions In Prose!!! ![]() Interesting look at a fellow human. I too have been here many times, I am an incurable "people watcher!" "O human race, born to fly upward, wherefore at a little wind dost thou so fall?" Dante Alighieri |

"Behind that beautiful face, the clean points of his nose and chin, the wispy brown eyelashes, full, dark pink lips. " I really liked the "clean points of his nose and chin." Very descriptive. ![]() This was a very real image that you have given us, and it was enjoyable despite its brevity. Quite an accomplishment. --Kess Full fathom five thy father lies, Of his bones are coral made, Those are pearls that were his eyes; Nothing of him that doth fade But doth suffer a sea-change Into something rich and strange... --William Shakespeare, from The Tempest |
