The Ache In My Heart The day is done, the ache in my heart has begun. I long for the one with the gentle touch The way he holds me, Oh I love so much His hard body and warm breath on my skin I wait on the day he will hold me again. His loving smile and soft, soft kiss, are just a few of the things I do miss. The beautiful words that come from his heart, words that I will never depart. I close my eyes and I can smell the sweetness of his skin. The aroma that makes my heart beat faster within. You see he is part of my soul and someday I will be, there with that part finally free. If you pass him give him a smile. Tell him I love him, that our heartache is only for a while ------------------ Lynn Burdette |

Great poem Lynn, but being such, I think it belongs in the open poetry forum! So, I'll just boost it on over to Open #4! |
