Seasons of Life
By Larry Chadwick

Beginnings are significant. It's odd that none of us remember our first one. Our parents and grandparents often delight in reminding us. Like describing how they knew our gender instantly at our birth as we hung upside down from the doctor's hand. Babies, the buds of the spring of life and the rapid rate of growth that comes with it.

And in our rush to blossom we often quarrel with family and even the world to declare ourselves in full bloom. Anxious to get on with the summer season of our lives. We abandon childhood for adulthood often failing to recognize there was no reason to hurry.

Wondering how two seasons could pass so quickly and how we got here so fast as autumn creeps up on us unaware. Evidences begin to reveal themselves in subtle ways. And for the secure, the mirror is not a threat but an affirmation. Fall is in full season.

Finally that season when we take delight in the spring, summer and fall of others. Our chance to share what it means to experience the seasons wishing we could be snow birds in life. But as the snow piles up for some of us in the last season it's an ending that reflects the beginning. No knowledge of being gone as unaware as when we arrived.

Really enjoyed this and the transformations. Can agree that kids are in a hurry it seems and there is no going back to childhood once the adult threshold has been crossed.

Work like money doesn't matter, love like you've never been hurt, dance like nobody's watching...
