The Mysterious Man on The Train

He kept to himself reading a well worn Hemingway.  Occasionally he adjusted his reading glasses, pushing them up onto the top of his nose, until he felt them bottom out, then he appeared to be satisfied.  Every so often he would quickly turn the page as if he couldn't wait to read the next, but then it seemed like forever before he would read the next.  One time he stopped reading and sent a text, but it was as if he already knew that no message was forthcoming, because he had already accepted that he and she were through.  He departed the train in Luxemburg, and as he was departing a paper fell to the floor of the train.  It had fell from the pages of the book and it was titled "To the Woman That I Love and Adore." It appeared to be a letter he had written to his lover, perhaps to clear his thoughts, and definately revealing the thoughts of his heart.  In the letter he told her "There is time, and there is time well spent...though I know now that we are through, it was time well spent we shared as two,  I'm thankful for every precious moment I spent with you, you gave me more than enough time to fall in love with you."

One of the best pieces of prose I've read in a long time. Time spent loving is never time wasted regardless of the outcome.

Love your line, "There is time, and there is time well spent...

BRAVO poet!
