the scene is not the same except for the willows and the bridge but my eye can turn the tended grass into wild shoots of green grown thick and lush enough to be your place of dreams. from there i watch the snow cover fields of poppies, grow deep on the mountaintop, see you as you climb the narrow trail again that leads beyond the sparrows and the locusts. your argument - despair. violets are the sea you cross on your island journey. your alibi the cold moon, melancholy and the open gate of death.
