All of the glory we've earned won't amount to anything soon. We must think of this as we step into the heated noon. Let me tell you how I feel. This will let you know that all is real. Look left, look right and everywhere you go tonight. Wish upon every star but your own. Wake up to find yourself in bed alone. Misery is a dog that claws and moans at loved ones. We cannot be loved until we love. Pray and look above. Find hope and passion. In a fancy fashion, leave your heart behind. Leave it on the rocky, cemented steps of heartbreak. Misery is a dog that lets itself die of a heatstroke. Laugh at all the hippies taking a toke. Talk to the animals and all little naturistic beauties. Most of all, dream big dreams. Remember everything. Misery is a dog that has contemporary amnesia and forgets his past. This thing will never last. Misery is a dog. ------------------ jac |

jac, This, my friend, is poetry! It's really, really wonderful! You have a natural rhythm here as well as personification, some terrific imagery, and some great lines. I think you should repost this in the Open Poetry #3 forum. Welcome to Passions, btw. Don't believe i've seen your name before but i *will* be looking to read more of your writing. Thanks for sharing this one. It really is well written. -dp ![]() |
