For all my life I’ve searched for you A special kind of “dream come true” You took my soul and set it free You gave me back my life to me I’ve wondered long through life alone Without your love to call my own The days were long the nights were cold My dreams were mostly left untold Come stand with me be by my side The tears of joy I shall not hide Be mine my love through thick and thin This is a game we both shall win I need your love, your tenderness too I yearn to be a part of you Forever in your arms to lie No more to say the words, good bye You are my dream there is no doubt A dream which I can’t do without Your love burns deep within my veins My heart aglow with “miss you” pains No more alone now you and me A “dream come true” for all to see Forever standing by your side To be your lover, friend and guide We searched, we found and now we’re one The night has passed here comes the sun The time of dreams has passed us by The time has come for us to try |

A normal male who sometimes writes from a female's point... Your poem is interesting in the way it treats the speaker's view of his(or her given your remarks above) life before finding the beloved. It is interesting that the direction of one's life up to a point often appears only after she has led that life till the point in question. The question now is, was the direction there all the time, or did the speaker only supply it in light of this most recent of events - his/her falling in love? Any idiot can see that the result is true. |
