I had a good recommendation to throw in a title for each section. I think it'll work better that way, too. Thanks, Ron. 4. Florida The odometer was looking good and the sun was finally going down. The car was cooling off, too. No numbers in site, Michael thought, concentrating on the road. He was thinking about those last few years at home, when he and his father stayed at each others throats. He'd be seeing him soon. I-10 was getting even rougher in this part of Florida, halfway between Pensacola and Tallahasee. He wondered if Florida had state taxes. The last time he saw his dad was two years ago, almost to the day. He had just graduated with a degree in film, something his dad would always give a short laugh to whenever there was mention of it. He was starting to think his dad was right, though, watching the same BMW from Alabama pass him again. I first see her in Louisiana coming from the direction of Texas and now she's in Florida, going away from Alabama, he thought. Where in the hell was she coming from and where is she going? Ever since graduation he began having his own doubts about making it in the film industry, pounded into his head at every turn. He could never seem to get along with anyone related to the business. Always looking for menial jobs with some local project. Once standing in as an extra for a Clint Eastwood film that came through Central Texas, hoping to meet Clint himself and possibly become some sort of errand boy, moving up the chain. He was naive. And anyway, he thought, Clint seemed like an asshole. No, he would not give up, he thought, looking down at the odometer. 357. Magnum? |

I like the idea of titling the sections. This one is even better than the first three...looking forward to # 5. I did make some observations I'd like to discuss with you in a more private setting though. Hugs  Ruth |
