“Ronnie, are you…okay?” I asked upon seeing her in the bathroom hunched over. “I’m fine Matt, really, it’s just morning sickness” She insisted “Ronnie, you have to tell mom and dad,” I said, as she began to stand up. “I CAN’T, DON’T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT?!” She screamed as she ran out of the bathroom. I didn’t know what to do. But I knew mom and dad had to know about this somehow. I sat down with them before school and had a talk. They were shocked, scared and surprised all at once. They reacted about as can be expected upon hearing news of this caliber. Ronnie came home from school later on that evening, and mom and dad were waiting at the front door. They tried to talk with her about what was going on, but she ran away screaming. A few hours had now passed, and I was worried, she hadn’t come home yet. I went out to look for her. I walked down the sidewalk before seeing a frozen lump in the snow. I soon realized what this was and ran over in shock. “RONNIE?!…oh my god…RONNIE?! Are you okay?!” I hollered as loud as I could. No answer. I dug her up from the snow and yelled for mom and dad to call an ambulance. Soon they came and took her away to the hospital. An hour or so later me along with my parents arrived at the hospital. The doctor was there to greet us. “Doc…what happened…is Ronnie okay?” I asked hoping for the best “I’m sorry…she didn’t make it…being out in this kind of weather for that amount of time was too much for her to handle. It seems as though she must have collapsed in a fit of rage.” The doctor said with a now evident sense of sorrow in his voice. I ran into the room to see her, but she was already wrapped up in a bag. I just walked away, not knowing how nor wanting to deal with this just yet. The funeral was two weeks later, and was a closed casket. To this day the last image of Ronnie I have in my head is her cold frozen body lying helpless beneath the snow. I always thought things happen for the best, and in the end, everything is always OK. And until now, I’ve never questioned this fact. I guess we’ll just have to see. One thing is for sure, though, I’ll always miss my little sister. |

Wow... that's intense. I love it. It wasn't quite what I had expected, I suppose I had expected it to be a bit longer, but.... wow. I love what I read ![]() ![]() If I love you enough will you feel it over the distance? |

What a follow-up, took me by surprise somewhat, I must admit. Interesting! |

Yeah. I kept it short. this is just one of the endings to it. I'm thinking of also writing another alternate ending to it that is maybe a bit longer. |

![]() (tears fall down my cheeks) There are no words to say about this tragic ending, except that may God always bless her and comfort her family who truly loved her very much! (wipes tears) I hope this is all just fictional, I'd love to read a happier alternate ending, I longly anticipated this and this is very poignant, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing! ![]() May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |
