A place we’ve been The place we are The place we’ll go Time past Time present The future Our past is but a memory, recollections that stand out in our lives, a memory picture stored within the corridors of the mind, where thoughts alone unravel the maze and paint the perfect reflection of a past now gone. The good and bad, the high times and the low times stay forgotten, till an odor, till a word or vision’s recalled, opening then memories door and flooding the mind with sights. Sights that bring both smiles and tears, be they hidden or silent. The present now, the place we are and live, where time is not a memory, but where memories are being created and carved within the stone of time that ticks with every second of the patient clock of destiny. Here time moves quickly, each day though seeming an eternity, we look back on and see that another year has passed, we wonder where. A life that started young, wandered down the road of age, time being unkind, not stopping for the briefest second to look back from where it came. Till aged remembering, do we realize how quickly time does really pass. The future, where hope and well being of life is sort, where time may slow and give all the chance to reflect back on memories all so important. The backlog of a lifetime can now be enjoyed with the contentment of a past lived. One hopes that there is further to travel when the time on earth is over. Hope of a guiding hand to take hold, showing the way to the valley of light and the company of all souls that fill and work its fields. |

Interesting concepts...this could very well be the forward for a novel that takes the reader from the past to the present and into the future. It would be interesting to see what the posters in the Philosophy Forum would think of some of your comments. |

A very interesting little piece on Time. It is definetly one of those subjects one could ponder for hours on end without reaching any conclusions. Excellent foray, though, and enjoyed "A hard, cold wisom is required for goodness to accomplish good. Goodness without wisdom always accomplishes evil" - Robert Heinlein |
