Part #3 Sierra could not help but wonder about the news of Molly McGuire giving a gold mine to Diablo. She also felt there must be something Diablo was keeping from and but she had a reputation for attracting handsome cowboys. She had heard more then one cowboy had lost his heart over that pretty lady. What wasn’t Diablo telling her? Diablo continued his conversation with Stoner. She only heard bits and pieces since she was so intent on her own thoughts. Did Stoner know she was in the stable? Well, she didn’t see any need of making her presence known. She would just remain silent, and wait until the man left. At that time she would make her move, and demand an explanation. Finally, Stoner left the stable, and Diablo turned and walked toward her. As he came close to her, she felt an excitement at the closeness of this man; yet there was a stir of anger and jealousy within her that continued to bubble to the top. Unable to contain herself she said, “Don’t you owe me an explanation?” Diablo smiled for he knew she was jealous. He reached for her, and drew her into his long powerful arms. The kiss he planted on her soft ruby lips was enough to take her breath away. He kissed her again, and she pulled away after a while and said, “Diablo, you’re stalling for time.” He smiled down at the little vixen; he could see sparks of jealousy in her green eyes. It wasn’t so bad having a woman jealous of you; maybe he ought to let this play out somewhat. He smiled again and then said, “Ahhhh, come on Sierra, you know I am true to you. Why would I look at another woman when you are here waiting for me?” At this point, Sierra knew he was teasing her, and she became a little angry and stamped her foot. “Just one minute Diablo, this is no funny thing to me; I want to know about the relationship you’ve had with Molly McGuire.” He could see the time for teasing was over, and he said, “It’s true Sierra, I really don’t know Molly McGuire. It’s a mystery to me. I don’t have a clue who she was or why she left a gold mine to me. But, I will tell you this, I intend to find out.”

I am replying to only this part but I've read all three of them so far. You don't say anything about wanting a critique of your work so I'll tell you that I'm enjoying the story so far. ![]() |
