Dynamics In The Waiting Room

Lilly was dying. We had done our best, but try as we might there were just too many things going wrong. Like a run away train the only thing that could stop it is a crash. Her body was on that ride.
Her family was in the waiting room pacing back and forth, one or the other coming in to check on her and leaving to report to the rest of the family that began to assemble.
Each in their own thoughts, going back over all the things they should have said, could have done, but never did..Now realizing they may never get the chance.
Now faced with decisions they knew they would have to make but somehow never thought the day would come. How definate they were about these things when it was in the "someday" categroy but now face to face with it was a whole different story.
The names and time matter not for this is a story I have witnessed many times over.Is it your story too?

A sad story.. but a good one nonethe less!  Wonderful job.  Some may find that story true, only in the thought of the soul dying. I wish no one had to go through that.  Wonderful job.

This is such a sad story. We should all do things today instead of waiting for someday. Thank you for reminding us.

I liked your story!  It made me think twice about the "somedays" in my own life.  The first line in your story is very short but dramatic, it really grabbed my attention.  I would have liked to see you expand a little more on your view as (doctor? nurse?) but again, you did say alot with so few words!
Hope to read more!
