why when attempting to join, there is a message stating that no new registrations are being accepted at this time,...though I then see that 'our newest member name' has changed on the main forums page, indicating that someone new has joined? Is it me? lol, (I think). -- I know Ron turned off submissions for some time,...but how'd these newbies sneak in? Or are submissions back on and it's just me? - Hm. Anybody know? |

hey A!  at the moment, new members are being accepted on invite only. if you know someone you want to invite, email Sharon, Ron, Kit or Nan, and they can help you. this is a temporary situtation 'til we [Ron] take(s) care of some other stuff.  C |

And we are only taking new members if an existing member requests it. So if you have a friend who wants to register let us know...or if someone contacts you, tell them to write to one of the Administrators.  |

~Oh, thank you friends, was beginning to think it was me,... -- But no, I don't have a friend wishing to get in, was just trying to rejoin, lol, as myself, well, with my _name_ name, and I don't want to take part in the name change sweep thingy, because I'd like to leave all the old junk behind. name change sweep? is there a way to change names without leaving / rejoining? i didn't think you could do that... -Dave |

actually Dave, that's the point of the Name Change Sweeps - so that members who want to modify their psuedonym can do so without losing all their old posts, et al - it is also a function that allows those with multiple aliases to be merged into a single one. C |
