Cant find Edward Lear poem! |

Hey to anybody reading What is the name of that poem by Edward lear (i was told) where is mentioned "there came a time, the walrus said, to speak of many things" ? Please help. Thanks Fox |

"The time has come", the Walrus said, "To talk of many things: Of shoes -and ships -and sealing wax - Of cabbages -and kings - And why the sea is boiling hot - And whether pigs have wings." You mean that one? Of course, that's just one stanza of eighteen (each funnier than the previous). If you'd like to read the rest you can find it on the main site, in our Classical section. But NOT under Edward Lear, because he didn't write it. Try looking under the OTHER poet/writer known for his madcap sense of humor. (Another hint: The Walrus and Carpenter both like to hunt Snarks.) |
