I've been desperately searching for a poem that I used to have a photocopy of. I know it's strange but I had it tucked away in a box for years and, due to multiple moves, I lost the box. The poem was one of my favorites a long, long time ago and recently, I feel that I need to read it. I believe the title was "Vase of Tears". I don't remember much else about it except that a line towards the end mentioned finding comfort in each other's arms (or something like that). It was written by a man, possibly in the early 1900's but I don't know where. I am hoping someone who is an avid poet or lover of english literature will remember this poem. I've tried several online search engines, but none of them turn anything up. Thank you. |

I probably posted my message in the wrong forum but I wanted to say that I finally found the poem. It is entitled "The Vase of Tears" and was written by Stephen Spender. I thought I'd type it in here so that others could share it. "The Vase of Tears" by Stephen Spender [copyrighted poem removed - Ron] |

Sorry, Jules, but Stephen Spender's poems are still under copyright, and only he (or in this case, his estate) can decide where they should be shared. |
