um...yes, i do have a virus scan   cant i just right click on "cookies" and go to "delete"? when i do that however, it says: "The folder 'Cookies' is a system folder.  If you delete it, Windows or another program may no longer work correctly. Are you sure you want to delete this folder and move all its contents to the Recycle Bin?"
By the way, its a good thing I was able to see your response WhtDove when I had already accessed the page...means something worked...what confuses me is that I responded to "tom vs me" in feelings and I can't see my own reply letalone a supposed 2nd response in that post...dont know

no, don't delete the whole folder.
that in turn deletes even the hidden files
what you need to delete the cookies themselves by highlighting them and hitting the delete button.

I do suggest that you go to your c:\windows\temp internet files folder and delete the cookies in there too

Go to the top of this page, click on the words Members Area/Help. Find the title "Troubleshooter Guide"...click on that... fill out the form and click to send it to Ron, if there's a problem with your computer, he'll know....read the part about cookies there too....

Do you have PiP bookmarked as a favorite?

NO don't delete the whole folder. You want to go INTO the folder, and delete what's inside it!

And yes, you can right click on the items inside the "cookies" folder and choose delete, but NOT the cookie folder itself...

Phew!

Yes, I would still suggest cleaning out that folder. I would recommend that you do it every so often.
