National Friendship Day?------must Read

I just saw on one of the poems posted here that it was in honor of National friendship day. I have never heard of that before. When is it? is it a real "holiday" Please tell me I didn't miss it. I have recently developed a friendship with a very special woman and I adore her. Please tell me I did not miss this important day.
