Hi! It is really hard to write for someone you do not know especially under your uncle's circumstances but I know how scared and worried you must all feel so I found this wonderful site that has encouraging and inspirational poetry that will certainly lift his spirits, and I hope you like it: http://www.geocities.com/peacefulhush/5/60state.html The site is called Peaceful Hush and I used it a lot when my Mother was ill and also a friend of mine. There is some wonderful poetry there, perhaps print it out and read it to him. Also, when he is recovering he may loose his voice but not the voice that really counts, and that is the voice of his heart...why not buy him a good writing tablet and nice pen, and get him writing out his own poetry? Best wishes to you all in a very scary time, and I sincerely hope all goes well for him. You did the right thing by reaching out, as people do care. Please visit me at my new homepage: |

Sorry I'm late, your uncle will be in my prayers. I hope all goes well. Please let us know how he's doing. Here's a poem I wrote, I hope it helps. What you're going through is scary But God will be right there So cast your cares upon Him And He'll calm all your fears An angel beside you Is what God will send They shall keep care of you Until your body mends Prayers are lifted up for you Family's by your side Rough roads will turn better With God as our guide |

Sorry to learn of your uncle's cancer. We're fighting this battle in our own family. Tried to give this spiritual poem on this very serious matter a lighter side to help give him a smile. Why are we always surprised When ugly things happen to such nice guys? Cancer's like pac man, eating away But you have the tools to keep it at bay. The first is to know God understands and YOU are a treasure in His hands. Ask Him to guide your doctor right to zap all cancer gobblers from sight. God is our strength when we are weak so it's His will we must seek. He may allow things we can't control so we stop to nourish our soul. To trust God's infinite power with your cancer as with a May shower. Whether surgery, chemo or radiation, Our Lord IS with YOU, not on vacation. For young and old, the strong, the frail, God gets and answers all knee-mail! [This message has been edited by sandgrain (edited 05-04-2001).] |
