Traffic at the main site has been little short of incredible; we were hitting over 25,000 unique visitors an hour last night, for several hours running. However, the main site is on Ceres and the forums are on Athena, so that traffic "shouldn't" be impacting us here. It shouldn't - but it still is, I think. These pages still share a few things in common with the main site (like that rainbow box Sharon mentioned), and I suspect those are being taxed pretty hard. The only delays I've noticed have usually been while those shared resources are loading. I don't "know" if that's the problem you're seeing, but if so, another 12 hours or so should produce some relief. We'll stay busy for a while after Valentine's Day, but nothing like it's been this past week. |
