I want to find a poem about wishes. I am getting married and we are having a wish bowl for the guests to throw a penny into and make a wish for our marriage. |

Toss a Coin in the Wishing Well Toss a coin in the wishing well. Silently speak your dream. Hope on a nickel, a dime or a cent. Wish for some magic, or something unseen; a day picking strawberries spent at the shore... wish for a journey through half-open doors. Toss out the ugly. Toss in the free. Toss out the worry. Then, curiously, imagine tomorrow scented with spice and a cinnamon rose and a wish granted twice. Imagine a daydream created in cloud and covered in crimson far from the crowd. Toss a coin in the wishing well. Throw a quarter to ripple... in waters that tell of intricate weaving and delicate lace, and the why you're believing and the where of that place. A dream in a fountain. A dream on a dime. A dream just deserving of crystalline time. –(c) doreen peri, 1998 all rights reserved you're welcome to use this one if you like it, just put my name on it if you do, k? i wish you well in your new life. i wish you with wisdom to listen to each other well, to accept each other for who the other is, to respect each other, and to take time out for each other.... because time and love is all there is.
