Hi... I would like to know how to put graphics from an art folder I keep in My Document onto my new posts here in Passions. I have printed out and tried to follow the instructions for inserting them, but in the art folder, there is no url, just the name of the .jpg or .gif. All of my graphics are defaulted to a paint program on my computer, and I wonder if that makes a difference? When I use the icons here in Passions, and copy the <img src>, I have no problem. But I would like to import some of my own. If you can think of a way, I'd be very grateful!! Thank you..... Sunny1< !signature--> Today is a gift.... That is why they call it 'the Present'! |

Hey there - the reason is because the graphics have to be on the web. If they're on your computer, they can't be called from the server! If you want to u/l pics to the web, in order to use them for posts, I would suggest hitting somewhere like geocities ( www.yahoo.com ) or better yet, one without banners like stas.net ( www.stas.net ). You can sign up for free web accounts with them, post your graphics to the web, then call on their URL's. ![]() Chris PS - there are many more free website hostings out there, I only named a couple so I wasn't typing all day! |

Thank you Christopher!! I knew there had to be a really simple reason, but I just didn't get it. Now, it makes sense, and I'll give it a try. I sure appreciate your help... Sunny1 |

Hi Sunny Another VERY important point is that you have to make sure that the site where you're locating your graphics is "yours" - Make sure that you haven't linked back to a site and used their bandwidth without approval - That's considered bandwidth theft in the cyber sphere - As long as the graphics are coming from your own site, all should be well... ![]() |
