Hi there whipsnade.. The Critical Analysis and Workshop forums are intended for posting and receiving feedback on your work. Posting in these forums is really separate from the others. Feel free to post a poem there and in any other forum (note that forum is singular here) of your choice.... I'm looking forward to seeing some of your work... |

quote: The above passage is from our Guidelines and, when originally written, was meant to include Critical Analysis. Indeed, at the time, we were considering making CA a workshop and listing it as such. I also assumed at the time that people would post in a workshop (including CA) first and then post the final revision in another forum. Well, we all know about assumptions, and I certainly see no problem with reversing that order. The bottom line, really, is usefulness. Posting in two or more poetry forums really doesn't do anything useful - because the audience is basically the same. It just uses up our disk space more quickly. Posting in CA, however, does accomplish something useful. I guess maybe it's time to update all of our help files and make them more clear. |
