Does anyone know what this poem is? It was a poem given by an old news reporter a few years back. I was flipping through the channels and I came across an old man giving his retirement speech. I am not sure what show it was but it was a news magazine show like Good Morning America or 60 minutes. The poem started out like "hickory dickory dock.." It had the phrases "All I want is to be with you.." "But I must go.." He said the name of the author. I don't have any idea who the gentleman was but the poem was very touching. If you might have an idea who he was or what the poem was please let me know. |

I found it. The man was Charles Kuralt. The poem was: Farewell, my friends farewell and hail. I'm off to seek the Holy Grail. I cannot tell you why. Remember, please when I am gone, 'twas aspiration led me on. Tiddly-widdly-toodle-oo all I want is to be with you. But, here I go, good-bye. |

Glad you found it, Kristy. I was beginning to wonder what it was, and now that I know I can find it for myself! Thanks, and welcome to Passions! Elizabeth "He have his goodness now. God forbid I take it from him!" -The Crucible |
