Ron, I accidently deleted a folder of my poetry and I can't get it all back. I searched the forum for all that I've posted and it would only give what I've posted since the 23rd of July. Is there any way you can tell me how to retrieve all the poetry I have ever posted here? I would greatly appreciate it!!! Thank You!!!

At the top of each posting is an icon for your profile. click on that. A page will open. At the upper left of the screen you will be given the option to view all the posts by this poet (you). You can link to each one from there (it also gives you each reply you ever did so it is time consuming) Ron, genius that he is, will probably be able to tell you a faster way to do it!

Good luck! I can imagine how you feel!

Unfortunately, my advice is only going to make the situation worse. PdV's suggestion is a good one, but you are very likely to get the same results you do with the Search function - they both use the same program code. As I noted in another recent thread, the Search feature has some, uh, problems. I'm not sure if it's the sheer size of our database or something inherent in the program. I am, however, investigating...

In the past two days I've felt the need to track down two poems I knew were here but couldn't find in the Search. My solution was to open the "Show topic from last ..." dropdown box and set it to one year (a bit of overkill) and then go through every one of the fifty+ pages one by one, eyeballing the names quickly...

See - I told you I'd only make it worse!

Poet deVine, Ron, thank you both so much. The 50-page thing was what I ended up doing, though I, too, know that I had more poems posted than what I found. However, I did retrieve the majority of what I had lost, so I am mostly satisfied! Thanks again!
