Help Me Remember: poem about... |

I am trying to remember a poem I read in university. I can't recall the name of it, nor the author. I do know that it's a love poem about a man who must travel from his wife. The poem speaks of an invisible tether that connects the two lovers despite the distance between them; that they have a bond that traverses space and time. The poem was written, I believe, during the time of The Romantics or the Victorian Age. Please help. |

Could it be any of the poetry shared between Robert Browning and his wife, Elizabeth? (I was thinking of My Star) See if any of these jog your memory. Good Luck. |

If you can recall any individual lines, do a google search with quotation marks around the line and google will do a search for the exact terms you've submitted. Without the quotes, you'll come up with variations. Good Luck. |

Thank you for the input. Unfortunately, My Star is not the poem I had in mind. And, yes, I've tried googling key words I can recall, but I have so far been unsuccessful. Key words are limited and include: tether, bond, connection, invisible, travel, distance. Yeah, not much to go on. I'll keep trying. More will hopefully come to me. Thanks for the help. I welcome any other suggestions or leads. |
