When I asked for a preview of a poem, the preview did not show the entire text. Is there a character limit or does the preview only show so much? MS Word tells me: 823 words 4,312 characters (don't know if includes CRLF) Will |

Oftentimes, William, it is as simple as a semi-colon being used, or any other character that is not alphabetic. The why of it, I don't know...but I do know that ; somewhere within your poem will not allow the preview to work at all from that point on. Maybe Ron will find time to come in and explain. |

Your explanation is spot on, Sunshine. It's a single character (usually a quotation mark) blocking everything that follows it. |

There must be a word-limit too though. For sometimes the latter part of a post is not shown even though there are no semi-colons therein. At that point, I usually highlight and copy the first part of my post, delete that part, then click "preview" to see the rest of the post in preview, then paste the first part back into the post. |
