was just wondering about the profile section for the writer's copyright name - does this forum distribute posted writing in any way?

Nope. But there's a copyright notice displayed with every poem or story, for your protection, not ours. By default, your copyright will be for LittleLotte. If you wish it to be in your real name, that's what you can put in your profile.

If privacy is an issue (and it should be for most people), don't put a copyright name into your profile. I can guarantee you it will show up in Google within days of your first poetry post. People will find it. Even without a real name, and even without a copyright notice for that matter, your work is still legally protected by copyright. The notice we include with everyone's work, as well as the name it's in, is more a peace-of-mind thing than anything else.

As always, of course, it's your call.
