I have recently completed my 100th poem. I suffer from OCD and I feel really uncomfortable about unrounded numbers. Part of me wants never to write again for fear of ending on an odd or something random, yet I'm 16 so have alot left to write about in the future. How do I overcome this (trivial though it sounds) fear? |

You tell yourself that there is nothing to fear...and that you are a capable writer. At 16, as you said, you still have a long way to go in your writing, and I will look forward to your sharing your poetry here, with us, in the blue walls of Passion. Welcome to PiP. |

Thanks alot. I'm aware it might sound like a silly problem, but I just have a need for things to be rounded. I guess i'll look to make it to 1000 next. |

Talk to your doctor about it. You do have someone treating your OCD, right? They can help far more than anyone in a writer's forum ever can. |

I haven't really told anyone about it to be honest, i've just read the criteria and found i match up with what it says. My problem is part of me embraces it because it makes me seek perfection, which can only be a good thing. |

You could be a perfectionist right? Like you want things to be done your way and no one elses way? umm things that arent done your way annoy you for a long time if not fixed? If so then your more of a perfectionist and not diognosed with OCD. this is just a thought of mine ~Zach~ |
