I am not a poet but my Grandmother was and as a child she used to tell me one that I don't know the name of. It was about a young girl that raised her siblings after her mother died. Her father was a drunk and abusive. the story is told by her best friend as the girl was dying old before her time. If ony one knows this could you please tell me? It is very sad but I loved it as a child. I believe it was set around the begining of the 1900's. |
