Searchin for a Poem |

I remember my Dad reciting a poem to me many times when I was a youngster. I have been searching for it for years without success. I happened upon this forum and possibly someone may recognize it and help me to find it. I believe that the author may be unknown---not sure. I do not remember the exact words but, maybe I can come close enough: In the morning when I wake, two roads before me lie. I do not know which road to take, for either I must try. One is the road to ????? And those who travel there???? ???????????? I think it had four verses? That's all I can recall. Hope someone will recognize it and help me find it. Thank you so much, Will |

I guess I'm a bit late on this because I don't come in this forum too much but all I could think of is the one by Robert Frost called The Road Not Taken THE ROAD NOT TAKEN by Robert Frost Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I- I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. |
