I know this is my first post, and when people ask other people to do their homework, the anwser is usually no I'm currently in grade 12 and doing English in night school. Over the Christmas break I got an assignment that I know will bring my mark down if I do it myself. The assignment - The theme: Being and individual in modern times What I have to do: Write four poems based around the theme. One poem has to be a Sonnet, one has to be a song (with a minimum of 3 versus and a chorus), a narrative poem (with rhyming couplets - minimum 5 stanzas), and a descriptive poem. I'm wondering if anybody could please write one for me (or all if you're feeling generous) using what I have outlined. I know I'm asking for a lot (I think) for my first post, but I have to write an essay also that will take up most of my time, and I'm not very good at poetry. Please and thank you in advance for anybody who wants to help me. I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section as well. |

Welcome (early) to the wonderful world of college. If you spend just 5 minutes every night (right before bed, or right after you get into bed) then you will have this assignment done in 4 days. An alternate is to spend the first 5 or 10 minutes of every morning (including time when you are eating breakfast, or lunch) then it will be done in 4 days. I totally agree with Ringo. The other thing that he didn't say is that turning in someone elses work is cheating. I wish you good luck with this assignment...I'm glad its not mine! Welcome to Passions and I too hope to see some of YOUR poetry! |

All of those forms of poetry can be googled on the internet as to FORM and STYLE...however, as was stated above, we all urge you to use your own work - as any good English teacher is going to recognize YOUR work - and will grade on your ABILITY and mental acumen - and it's WAY too easy for that same teacher to research and find out if what you turn in is really your own. Sooo.... get to it! AND? ![]() Good luck!!! |

If i give you some of my own work sure you may get good marks its like you could search the site for four poems and steal them bascially if your not going to write them yourself you are basically learning nothing its not about failing its about attempting you think all the other students in your class are great poets? |

Also - Your teacher can and will do an online search to see if your turned-in assignment matches anything posted anywhere on the internet. Anything posted at our site will be among the first to surface. You really must do your own work - You're far less likely to fail when you do. |

Well, besides the obvious stated above, there is no time like the present to tackle things that can only boost your knowledge and skill, but more importantly your self confidence. I must admit the assignment sounds pretty tough to me. But the truth is it would sure push me into areas I'm not familiar with. I think that's why they call it learning. I truly hope you find the courage to believe in yourself. ![]() If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, |
