Many moons ago I use to know how to insert a picture in a poem but old age has caught up with me, could some of you picture experts tell me how too do it and give me some links to free photos on the web that I can use. What I'm looking for is step by step instructions on how too include a picture in a poem like I see so many of ya'll do and under the picture it gives credit to where the picture came from like web shots or photo bucket etc. Many Thanks to all of you...Paul ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ Paul [This message has been edited by Paul Wilson (08-16-2005 10:51 PM).] |

Paul - When you're posting your comment, you'll find links under the dialogue box that say "Insertable Images" and "HTML Help." Those links will open to pages that will give you instructions on inserting pictures. I'm not personally aware of sources for "free" images online, as I upload my own. Perhaps others have input on that, though. |

http://www.freefoto.com/index.jsp I have found this site useful, now and again. But more and more, I just use my own images. |

Paul .... for one who has only recently learned how to insert images myself felt that photobucket.com was a easy site to work with ... and see that others here use it as well. Hope to see any image to your words soon .... Good Luck! CT |

Nan "When you're posting your comment, you'll find links under the dialogue box that say "Insertable Images" and "HTML Help." "Those links will open to pages that will give you instructions on inserting pictures." I have gone too those links, but being computer challenged (stupid), I am still unable to figure out how to do it..from Rons directions. A while ago, some people here (at pip) helped me post a picture, Sunshine and Nan, I believe , to name two... Anyway, I had my computer cleaned up by a c-nerd, and he erased my step by step instructions on how to do it... I think I need the same help that Paul has asked for in this thread....But please, please don't get too technical...I appreciate your knowledge, but am unable to use it... Paul "What I'm looking for is step by step instructions on how too include a picture in a poem like I see so many of ya'll do" I have a few personal pictures in photo bucket..and would post more there if I knew how to use the here....I also need "step by step" instructions. Like -First you go to--- And then you click the thingy that says--- Then you copy and paste the thingy that comes up in the little box... Paul may be more adept at figuring out on his own how to do this from what has been said here, not so with me.... ...So Please stay elemental...because when I try to too figure out things in high computeze, an idiot wind blows through the monitor and blows out the little candle that is my mind.... Also, I would like to learn how to superimpose my poem right onto the picture, or is this, considering my level of computer knowledge, near impossible? Thanks for any help, and good luck, Paul ------------ice ><> |

Let's see if I can think clearly enough to 'splain... Your picture must be uploaded to an internet site. Simply having it on your computer hard drive won't do. It must have an internet address of its own. For example - Follow this link to an interesting photo on my website - http://nan.netpoets.net/poet2poet/images/framesykiss.jpg Note the web address, as that will be used in posting this photo. To post it, you'll have to use an html code. The code is < img src=" (photo web address here) "> You need to remove the space between the first carat < and img - If I put that in now, the software will read it as a code and won't display it for your viewing - So, make sure to remove it when you post. Now - Your photo should appear if you've coded properly... Like this: A PiP of a group, aren't they? If you haven't figured it out yet, click on the "edit" link at the top of this comment and see how I posted it. As for superimposing text on photos, as this one has - that takes a program on your computer that can manipulate photos accordingly. If you have a good photo program, you can likely do so, but it has to be done before uploading the photo to the net. Does that help? Feel free to use this thread as a test spot... |
