when i look at the folders to the right of the topics, what does it mean when the folders are pink , and opening and closing?

The folders on the left column beside the threads' topics have different meanings.

A yellow folder means that a post has been there without new comments since before you most recently logged into the forums.

An orange folder means that there's been at least one response since you most recently logged in.

An opening/closing folder means that the post beside it is that author's first post with PiPtalk.

A gray folder indicates that the most recent comment is from the original poster of that thread.
