the words on your breath are so very cold that my teardrops freeze upon my cheeks like pear-shaped diamonds. they slide slowly from my warm skin onto the floor splintering into tiny words that melt into puddles of bitterness. warmhrt [This message has been edited by warmhrt (edited 01-13-2000).] |

I was a little bit put off by the first couple of lines but I think you've pulled this off very well. A very strong poem, well balanced with a fine image. Great job! Brad |

jenni, thanks for your kind words. Glad you enjoyed the read. Me ... eloquent? I'm not sure on that one. I appreciate your comments, though. Brad, you're not being sarcastic, are you? I was sure you were when you commented on the other one, but your words here seemed a bit more sincere. If they are, I'm thrilled that you actually like a piece I've written, and I thank you for the praise. I guess I can't call you Bradley any longer, per my promise. Thanks again. |

WH, you do have a way with words. Or should I say paint? You have truly painted a vivid portrait here with a few simple words. I loved it. Pete |

Pete and haze, Can't thank you enough for your praise, and sincerely appreciate it. I think I may be blushing a bit! (Hey, do you think Brad's really serious, or just playin' with my head? He actually wrote, "Great job!") warmhrt |

warmhrt... I think he's serious. The lead words lend a true element to it. (Maybe he's sick? Maybe his slice&dice machine is broke?) But really... I think he meant it. TA ~haze |

Hawk ... so glad you enjoyed the read, but "As always" was too kind. I know I write quite a few poor pieces in between the decent ones. Thank you Haze ... Brad AND Pete ... saying they really like free verse? Me thinks there's more to this than meets the eye. |

Pete, I sincerely thank you for your kind comments, and apologize if you took my joking the wrong way. I never said you weren't able to judge good free verse, nor did I say you were slow ... I don't know where in the heck that came from. (re: comment on Ophelia's poem) Respectfully, warmhrt [This message has been edited by warmhrt (edited 01-13-2000).] |
