Sometimes The swirl of a brush stroke can appear to be that of a rose And YOU whose petals I can never touch whose fragrance I can never intoxicate myself with Were my rose The rose whose thorn stays embedded in my heart A constant reminder of this pain and passion My blood as red as YOU My Rose |

A vivid and expressive piece. I particularly liked the beginning which compared the rose (true love) with the brush stroke feigning itself a rose (counterfeit love). My wife decorates cakes with frosting flowers. So I can easily visualize how a brush stroke becomes a rose--at least the image of a rose. I liked your comment in your profile too: "Hobbies: Getting my heart broke." I used to have the same hobby. Things will get better. |

I really like this...as a total, but especially the first four lines...every time I start reading your poem, my mind wanders off after the first 4 lines. : ) I guess I'm a dreamer. : ) Happy New Year ! Munda |
