I'm going to commit the heinous crimes of a multiple post and a vacuous poem for two reasons. One because its Christmas, and two to balance the dismal subject of my other post. This was something I wrote a while back (a different time, place and person .. lol) .. its meant to be funny .. but I realise it has the potential to offend just about everyone . It's not meant to; so .. any schoolgirls, cheerleaders or Xena's can mail me to discuss the finer points if they so wish .. (Special note to Brad: "please don't delete it") (Hey I forgot about the US and your trigger happy attitude to lawsuits - on second thoughts delete it if you feel I need protecting Brad !) ~ One lazy sunny afternoon Basking naked in the sun Soft hands gently closed my eyes She breathed "Guess who hun" .......... ~ A dilettante of the art world Or a waitress in the bar A plastic soulless model Spreadeagled on a car? An intellectual highbrow Or a Lady of the Blood An empty headed cheerleader Constantly misunderstood? A pouting sulky schoolgirl With sex in every curve Or a chorister in chapel Full of godliness and verve? A prim and proper legal sec Passions buried deep But under all those business suits Her body makes you weep? A political aspirant With voice as silk as honey Or maybe from Wall Street Mesmerised by money? A prostitute in Soho Or a beggar in New York A Queen in Costa Rica Or a lass from County Cork? A president's assistant An expert on cigars Or skilful on the blow-job Creating glass and jars? Something quite dreadful Like a monster or a fan An alien or a black witch Or worst of all - a man? Could you be my Lucy So vulnerable yet strong A warrior of beauty Is to want you very wrong? Are you like a cheetah Lithe and sleek and fast Or is it an elephant Grey and old and vast? I rather think a paradox Is what you are my love Let free into a hostile world Like Noah's little dove? An angel or a devil A traitor or so true Lustful or so very chaste Which one dear is you? I will never see your face Be it smooth or lined I am satisfied to know you Through your effervescent mind. Despite our small acquaintance And meaning no slight or unkind cut One thing I'm certain you are not Is an average AOL slut. |

Hey, are you saying I'm trigger happy with the delete button? Are you saying the POWER of being a moderator has gone to my head (and everyone else is whispering, what power?)? What are you trying to say? If you don't respond I'll delete you or perhaps I'll just do some editing on this poem and make it uninteresting and unenjoyable -- the opposite of what it is now. There's a playfullness here that I enjoyed very much. Keep it up!! Mutiple poems really just hurts you and your poem. They're a very sensitive lot. Poems, of course. It doesn't bother me whether you wish to throw your babies into the world without the care and attention that they deserve -- each one desperately wants to be read without competition from siblings. Can't you hear them crying? Brad |

P** this is hilarious..... who is this ponderous creature? and furthermore, why do you feel the need to take a stab at america's president? lol... i know he's, well, okay, he's a pervert, but that hasn't effected how he manages the country. otherwise, i want to know who your AOL slut is, or else!!!! lol funny funny poem, and trust me, i don't think that there is an excess of cheerleaders here to be offended. (i've got quite an email to write to you about that) |

Philip: Again, you're killing me! ROFL etc., etc., etc. You even got Brad to take a break from his hiatus! (Where've you been, Brad?) I agree with you Roxanne. He would of screwed the country up with or without Monica. But what so wrong with men, Philip (just kidding). Very funny. Jim "If I rest, I rust." - Martin Luther |

Loved it....funny stuff...excellent story as well. I personally think that this is something that could make it into print if "fine tuned and trimmed" a little (or at least I'd love to see it in a magazine....preferably with pictures to go with the poem ) ANyways thanks for the laugh, I needed it. Take care, Trevor |
