~Call of the Bird~ Oh but the call call of the bird songs of the wind that cry they wake up and sing oh beautiful songs until the day they die Their flight is so lovely they caress the air with the golden tips of their wings oh but to guide them oh so smoothly tis joy of the gift they bring Listen and watch them oh so sweetly it brings a smile upon my face you see the hatchlings in their nest to wonder where they go without a trace The birds search abroad to find their food they travel far and wide to watch them flock when winter appears they travel together with pride Oh but the call call of the bird songs of the wind that cry they wake up and sing oh beautiful songs until the day they die. To be honest, When I was first reading your poem I was thinking about suggesting some changes, but when I was finished I decided that those are the things that make your poetry yours and I don't think I would change a thing. Well written. --A Little Fairy-- |

Fairy, I truely don't mind your suggestions... after all... isn't that what this Forum is for? Thanks for sharing your kindness and love of poetry...To add: My poem, 'Call of the Bird' was published this past summer. *Debbie* |

'to wonder where they go without a trace' Yes when I was very young, I did. Amazing! Thank you for sharing this one with me. ------------------ Cap. Carg. |

Debbie, Nothing can beat this! *blush* I can't suggest anything. It is what it's meant to be. Although I like the happy sound that goes with it, I wonder if all that birds are known for is their beauty and songs. Well written. |

Well... Like I said, when I was finished reading the whole poem, I didn't think that the changes were neccessary, and that they would take away from the poem. I love it. --A Little Fairy-- |
