A Celestial Bond

As another day draws near to its end,
I find myself waiting with anticipation,
for the day's light to be dimmed,
signifying the beginning of Act II.

The sun gracefully bows to her audience,
while she slowly descends from the stage,
making room for her majestic lover,
to take his place amongst the stars.

In silence, I wait for that special moment,
when the two will meet and become one,
a moment when each is a reflection of the other,
a single moment in time, only they can share.

Two perfect rings, with no beginning and no end,
forever destined to spend eternity apart,
individually ruling their vast domains,
giving to their audiences all that they are.

There is a special time, when behind a cloak of darkness,
they strengthen their bond and renew their vows,
we are all here to witness this special union,
when there is a day without night and a night without day.

I read this a few times before deciding to comment, then decided against it.  Read it again, and convinced myself that since it was posted in CA I should go ahead and comment...

Sad truth is, it is a well written, lyrical and beautiful molding of cliches.

I have been away for a while so many here may not know my prediliction for the abhorence of cliche - I despise them completely, and unfortunately that is what I see here.

Talent like this is better served with originality... now I am off to seek out your other posts and prove to myself that you are as good as I think you are....

Sorry if I harshed your mellow...

tsk tsk tsk JP...beauty is in the eye of the beholder!!!

...I appreciate your views and am quite honored you needed to reread my poem several times to come to a final conclusion.

Where ever there is a positive there must also be a negative.

Never underestimate the Power of Purpose.
Yesterday is history,
Tomorrow is a mystery,
Today is a gift,
That's why it's called the 'Present'

I like someone who is blunt and upfront. Keeps a person on their toes.

I am so new to this forum...only a couple of days...and am unqualified,  but I felt comfortable commenting on another newcomer.
I though it was wonderful!

...just means you know what you like
