black on black
is the sweet taste
of your lips
like a waltz
through paradise
on a cloud of white

we contrast
your heart is black
and my skin is
sunless white
like a tear-less sky
but forever sweet
is your taste
and your smell
and your touch

you are unfair
draped in shadow
but your silken words
are so bright
they peirce my darkness
and free my spirit
flying from the grips
of your strangling love

stay sweet
do not let your dark
shadowed blue eyes
taint your kiss
stay forever mine
even when my light
has broken your heart
and freed your voice
to the merciless wind
