Trite And Cliched I try so hard trying not to be trite, to avoid cliches, to be fresh in the words I put to paper - I've learned it's an almost impossible task. Sometimes I want to say I love you in a way that just blows your mind puts chill bumps up and down your spine, elicits a smile that spreads heat to the core of your soul. Sometimes I want you to know, so badly, it brings me to tears because I've failed to convey the depths of my heart. Sometimes I just want to turn you inside out, have you grasping at the space between us, have us merge till you don't know where you end, and I begin. Sometimes I want you to feel, what I feel, through the words from me and the paper in your hand. It's trite, I know, so cliche, but I don't know any other way to say it . . . I . . . love . . . you I just love you - that's all. . © wesley james beard, jr. march 28, 2021 |

James...I love you are 3 mighty words when it comes from the heart. Enjoyed. Those 3 words were the first 3 words I said to my soon to be wife 52 years ago...Paul ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ Paul |
