In The Wrong Line By Paul Wilson I died the other night Drunk and chasing women like always Been waiting at the gates of hell to get in Was a sinner most of my days I feel the heat from fires of hell Burning my skin every now and then Old friends that died years ago Still waiting to get in Never knew so many people I knew We’re waiting to get into hell The line to get in is so long Damn I hate that smell Been waiting in this line too long Think I’ll change my ways before it’s too late Heard of a place called Heaven Saint Peter guards the gate A voice says I’ll give you one more chance To prove you belong in Heaven with me Away I was carried on a golden horse Back up to earth you see I promised to be good Stop my evil ways Heaven’s where I wanna be For the rest of my days Started going to church Quit getting drunk Quit chasing women Lived like a monk Died sitting in church On a Sunday morning Had a smile on my face Died without a warning Went up to Heaven Saint Peter opened the gate Said hello to me Glad to see you’re not late Hardly no waiting in line Just a minute or two Some of your old friends are there They welcome you ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ Paul |

Had to giggle at the hardly any wait for the line to heaven. You think that alone would be enough to get people more interested in going that direction, wouldn't you? love where you went with this. |

Michael...So glad you got a giggle out of this challenge you gave me. I really think people need to look to God for help and guidance. I know it works...Paul ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ |
