Day Trip By Paul Wilson Been riding all day long no particular place to go Tank full top rolled down playing name that tune with the radio Went up to the mountains parked and watched the sun fall into the deep blue sea had myself a ball Sun going down Stars coming out Heading back to town I had a blowout Owner said it was a good car No spare in the trunk Radio quit working I call it a piece of junk No bars on my cell no cars on the road Rain pouring down this place has no zip code Mosquitoes starting to bite car top stuck in down mode Thought about walking was about ready to explode Lights coming my way I hope they stop for me Driver ask what was wrong Got a flat & lost the key I asked if he could push me off the road He said that would be fine Tank full & destination empty canyon off mountain road ninety nine ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ |

Michael...Thought you might like this. You should know where mountain road 99 is, it's in your neck of the woods off SR 190 east of San Bernardino...Paul ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ |
