The Searchers By Paul Wilson Reach for distant stars Grasp secrets they hold View time yet to be born If you are so bold Walk among headstones Visit masters from days past Sit and talk with them Hurry…time won’t last Echo of ocean’s sound Draw’s me to distant shore Sound of storm’s rage I could never ignore Climb Mountains high To caves where ancestors did dwell Pictures on walls left by them Stories of life they did tell Into the future we go Back to the past we travel Always searching for answers As we watch history un-ravel Tomorrow’s generation Will search for their past Among stars, oceans and headstones Searching for answers to their past Beyond the spirits reach Stories of our lives are told Perhaps one day to be found When time again does unfold Copy Right 2/15/2021 ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ |

Wow, Paul. You outdid yourself on this one. What a beautiful place your mind went with this. I felt I paid witness to a freed spirit on exploration of an entirely new realm. Surprised me you did, getting this out so quick. Will have to throw some more phrases at you. |
