As I approach my midlife, thinking 80 is the max,
I come to a realization that is often filled with regret,
Some have children so that they may fulfill the ultimate task,
A familiar face stands there as you take in your last breath,
But this is not to be my fate, as I have no child of my own,
Tried for many years, then gave up as I am too old,
Some may read this and say, how can 40 be too old?
I have been worn down since my early teens, and that’s is why I am not bold.

I speak insanity. I write fantasy. I sleep reality.
