Hashbrown Sunrise Hashbrown sunrise the waitress with sad Spanish eyes wears a sea foam green dress black hair all a mess she's a crumbling beauty of the highway looking in every face for the one man who'll say “baby don't cry wipe your pretty eyes darlin'” but still another hashbrown sunrise will find her alone again Coffee midnight the last American boy hits the light but dreams refuse to come so he met the AM sun with a pocket full of promises come up nil looking in every place for the woman to keep him still “baby don’t worry I know you’re weary honey” yet come another coffee midnight will find him still running This is how we are made and how we shall fade unless you find a way to stop the blade of time unconcerned with your plans and the sand slips out of our hands but still we go on looking for that promised land in each other’s eyes a shining gold surprise we still believe we still believe that it’s true and so comes another sunrise without a hand to reach out to The echo of emptiness and a fire without the heat she sighs against the screen door and looks to the east the dawn blots out any hope of release and as always that hollow feeling comes back to her there was love, family and grace but still she can’t remember how she got to this place And we are bound to be all the things we won’t see coming around the bend eventually this time we say we’ll forsake no giving only take, take, take but we must live with the steps we make down that bumpy road the only one we know we still hunger we still hunger for much more and so here’s another midnight with a scratch you can’t ignore Hashbrown sunrise the waitress with sad Spanish eyes wears a sea foam green dress black hair all a mess she's a crumbling beauty of the highway looking in every face for the one man who'll say “baby don't cry wipe your pretty eyes darlin' you must try to find a better way” and so, another hashbrown sunrise will find her far away “I want to do with you what spring does with the cherry trees.” —Pablo Neruda |

This grabbed on and didn't let go until the end. I rode along the whole rhythm easily. I'd like to hear music along with it. Enjoyed the images as well! "I know this love will tear me to pieces |

Came through as a song. Enjoyed how you phrased it and the liberties too. I think I'd like to hear it read aloud. Or performed. Kudos. kevinjtaylor |

I needed a 'Souls Fix' Love that Title, enjoyed in its entirety, but especially that 4th verse. Sky~ ~Do You Know That Feeling |
